Health & Safety

akB has developed a health & safety process which ensures all sub-contractors, venues etc are code compliant and no client is exposed to risk as a result of changes to the 2016 Health & Safety Act.

 

Banking:

akB has gone through a rigorous process with lawyers and accountants to ensure our clients are financially protected. We set up a Joint Venture Agreement between the conference convenors and akB. All our clients have their own separate bank accounts with their own GST number and co-signees. This protects each client from any liability arising from other akB clients. Cultural Protocol:

akB has developed strong working relationships with Tangata Whenua. We strive to understand the specific cultural needs of all of our clients and work with them to ensure we are sensitive to the needs of all attendees.

 

Special Requirements:

akB is sympathetic to the needs of delegates whether they be dietary, disability or language. We work with venues and suppliers to ensure no delegate is disadvantaged when attending an akB managed event. We engage early with delegates who identify a special need so we can ensure that their needs are managed in a caring non-judgemental way.

Sustainable Practices:

For over 10 years akB has included sustainable approaches to all of its events; we minimise our environmental footprint by limiting printing, recycling where possible and reusing and donating materials where applicable. We prefer not to accept loose pamphlets in bags, rather we encourage sponsors to supply digital advertising and marketing materials

 

Systems

akB has invested in & uses Ivvy registration software, a user friendly, secure and reliable online system.
